Lady Cougars compete at Weimar Tournament

The Rosebud-Lott Lady Cougars softball team participated in an in-season tournament hosted by Weimar during the weekend of Feb. 28-29. The Lady Cougars struggled in the tournament, going winless. 

Rosebud-Lott played two games on Friday, the first game was a match against the Danbury Lady Panthers. 

The Lady Cougars fell to Danbury, losing in a 3-2 heartbreaker. The second game of the day was against the Sealy Lady Tigers, and Rosebud-Lott was defeated by Seally 11-2.

Rosebud-Lott played two games on Saturday, the first game was a match against the host Weimar Lady Cats. The Lady Cougars fell to Weimar, losing 8-1. 

The final game of the tournament for Rosebud-Lott was the Bellville Brahmanettes. The Lady Cougars were shut out by Bellville, losing 5-0. 

With this loss, Rosebud-Lott has a record of 0-6. After playing a road game against the Granger Lady Lions on Tuesday for their district opener, the Lady Cougars will host the Bartlett Lassies for their district home opener. The game will be on Friday, March 7, and is set for 5:30 p.m.
