Lady Cougars honor senior players at Riesel game

The Rosebud-Lott Lady Cougars volleyball team traveled to take on the Chilton Lady Pirates on Friday, Oct. 18. 

Rosebud-Lott defeated Chilton, winning 3-1. 

The Lady Cougars won the first set 25-21, won the second set 25-19, lost the third set 25-22, and won the fourth set 25-23. 

Brightan Willberg had a great game with 14 kills, a block, and two digs. Aniah Cavitt also had a great game with six kills, five blocks, and an assist. 

Gracie Doskocil was fantastic, recording three kills, three aces, eight digs, and 36 assists. Addison Wilde was terrific as she recorded two aces, a kill, 13 digs, and three assists. Kaitlyn Jenkins was phenomenal with 18 kills, a block, eight digs, an assist, and two aces. 

The Lady Cougars returned home to host the Riesel Lady Indians on Tuesday, Oct. 22, for senior night. 

The crowd honored their four seniors before the game: Kinsley Edwards, Brightan Willberg, Aniah Cavitt, and Gracie Doskocil. Rosebud-Lott was swept by Riesel 3-0, losing the first set 25-15, the second set 25-16, and the third set 25-21.

With this loss, Rosebud-Lott has a record of 15-13 and a district record of 3-4. 

After playing the Marlin Lady Bulldogs on the road on Tuesday for their regular season finale, the Lady Cougars will prepare for the postseason. Their bi-district game will be announced as soon as possible.
