With a total lifted weight of 820 pounds, Rosebud-Lott’s Illeana Rodriguez won the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association Class 2A 123-pound girls state title last Wednesday. Rodriguez, the top performer earlier in the month at the 2A-Region II meet and one of four state-qualifying Lady Cougars, recorded a squat lift of 325 pounds, a bench press of 175 and deadlift of 320. Arianna Flores  tied her best total and hit a personal record on squat with 215 pounds. Jackie Salazar hit a personal record on squat with 275 and increased her best total by 15 pounds. Jaymi Patterson hit a personal record on squat with 310 pounds, a personal record on bench with 225 pounds, and a increased her best total by 20 pounds.
