A Look Back

The Rosebud Panthers and the Cameron Yoemen will renew a grid rivalry of long standing when they clash on Panther Field next Friday night, September 22, 1967.

Camp Perry, Ohio- Sfc. Emil Heugatter, has placed third in the National Pistol Championships here. He is the son of Mr. And Mrs. Emil W. Heugatter of Rosebud, Texas. For a while Heugatter set the pace for the nation’s marksmen. Going into the final day of shooting, he was leading the aggregate by two points. The battle was so close it went right down to the last shot.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe A. Pomykal announced the marriage of their daughter Andell to William Reztlaff, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Retzlaff of Temple. The couple was married August 16 in Lampasas.

U.S. Air Forces, Thailand- Technical Sergeant Garland R. Pelzel, son of Mr. And Mrs., Johnny R Pelzel of Rout 1, Lott, Texas, has received the U.S. Air Force Commendation Medal at Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai AFB, Thailand.

Sargent Pelzel was decorated for meritorious service as a personal technician at Nakhon Phanom. He was cited for his outstanding professional skill and initiative.
