Free Pet Microchips for Rosebud Residents

There will be a free pet microchip event sponsored by the City of Rosebud on Saturday, March 28. It will take place at the City Hall Pavillion, located at 202 S. College St, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Microchips are about the size of a grain of rice and are inserted just below the skin as a form of permanent electronic identification. These devices result in saving the bonds between pets and owners 20x as much if a pet is lost than without. The event is free only to residents of Rosebud, but non-residents can be chipped for a $10 fee. A City of Rosebud water bill is required as proof of residency. Dogs must be on a leash and cats should have a crate.
