Saluting Veterans

A Veterans Day ceremony was held on Nov. 11 at the Falls County Courthouse. Above, the placing of wreath at the World War II Monument on the Courthouse grounds. Guest speaker was John Hince, a Distinguished Military Graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, a U. S. Army Intelligence Officer and an Army Fixed Wing Aviator in Vietnam. He reached the rank of Captain before leaving active duty to pursue a career in education where he served as Assistant Football Coach at Mississippi College and later as teacher, coach and Middle School Administrator in Georgia and Virginia.  He is married to Col. Gerry Hince (Ret) and they have two sons, Major Matthew Hince, United States Air Force Reserve and Peter Hince, LTC, United States Air Force.
