Miss Central Texas Pageant Set for July 26 at Marlin High School
The stage is set for one of Central Texas’s most anticipated annual events as 13 young women from across the region prepare to compete in the 2025 Miss Central Texas Pageant on Saturday, July 26, at 7:00 p.m. at the Marlin High School Auditorium.
Commissioners Approved New Memorial Marker
Falls County Commissioners Court met Monday, July 14,2025, at 9:00 a.m., County Judge Jay Elliott presiding. The commissioners present were F. A. Green (Pct 2) via teleconference, Jason Willberg (Pct. 3), and Nita Wuebker (Pct. 4). Milton Albright (Pct. 1) was not in attendance. ADA Steve Sharp was present.

Preservation Rosebud Prepares for Rosebud-Lott 50+ Reunion Reception
Preservation Rosebud is gearing up for one of the town’s most anticipated summer traditions: the Rosebud-Lott 50+ Reunion reception. The group will hold its quarterly meeting on Thursday, July 31, at 7:00 p.m. at the Rosebud Museum, with snacks and social time beginning at 6:30 p.m. Final plans for the third annual reunion reception will be on the agenda, as members prepare to welcome alumni from near and far.
The Webb of Wonders Little Free Library
A charming new addition is about to make its debut in Rosebud, and it’s one that will spark imagination, encourage sharing, and bring neighbors closer together. The Webb of Wonders Little Free Library is set to open soon at 519 E Avenue G, and the community is buzzing with excitement.
