Chelsey Easter and Kaitlyn Jenkins signed athletic scholarships this past week. Jenkins will be playing volleyball at Vernon College and Easter will be competing in track and field (shot put) at Southwestern University.
Basketball season will be coming to an end for some in a couple of weeks as others will be preparing for the playoffs. The winter storm that hit this past weekend made some schools move their games around.
District play for basketball is in full swing this semester. The second round of district play is beginning for some districts, which means that the playoffs are just around the corner.
District play is back in action after the Christmas break. Teams are on the floor hustling as the second round of district play is nearing. Playoffs are just about a month away.
