With a total lifted weight of 820 pounds, Rosebud-Lott’s Illeana Rodriguez won the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association Class 2A 123-pound girls state title last Wednesday.
The Lady Cougars fell to Holland on Monday. The ladies took on Bremond on Tuesday and are set to play Thorndale on March 21.
The Rosebud-Lott Cougar Powerlifitng team was very successful at the Regaional Meet last weekend. Carlos Saucedo was first place and qualified for State.
Lady Cougar Softball closed out the Valley Mills tournament last weekend, splitting Saturday’s games against Axtell and Valley Mills. The ladies were back in action Tuesday in Bartlett.
The Cougar Girls Powerlifting team competed at Regionals last week. First place finisher was Illeana Rodriguez. She qualified for State and was Outstanding Squat and Outstanding Overall Lifter.
