Winter Weather Shuts Down School Two Extra Days
Like much of Central Texas this weekend, Rosebud got a significant amount of sleet/icy rain that froze over roadways and made driving a dangerous risk to take for days on end. Fortunately, the power grid was able to support Texans through this storm despite massive failures in the most recent comparable weather event, known as Snovid or Snomageddon, in February 2021.

Icy Snowdays Photo Collection
The severe winter weather conditions throughout Central Texas over the weekend didn’t quite deliver the powdery, fun snow one tends to see featured in snow day scenes on TV, but regardless, Falls County residents got out to experience what the icy cold had to offer. From slipping, sliding, and sledding to shoveling snow and tending animals, these Texans made the most of a rare winter storm. Enjoy these photos shared by our followers on Facebook.
