With the approaching kitchen renovations of the Community Room of the D Brown Library, thirteen hard working Wednesday Study Club ladies moved the contents of their kitchen cabinets. Two sets of dishes with accessories along with dozens of glasses, several punch bowls and punch cups, and flatware, filled boxes and eventually tables in the Memorial Room where the items are being stored. The timeline has not yet been set but hopefully this spring the kitchen walls and cabinets will be painted, and a new granite countertop, backsplash, sink, faucet, and ceiling fan will be installed.

Falls County Commissioners Court met at the County Courthouse, Marlin, TX, on January 12 County Judge Jay Elliott presiding. Commissioners present were Milton Albright (Pct. 1), F. A. Green (Pct. 2), Jason Willberg (Pct. 3) and Nita Wuebker (Pct. 4). ADA Steve Sharp was in attendance.

Gloria Salinas-Garcia and her son Joaquin Garcia run a photography business together: Gloria take the pictures, and Joaquin does all the editing. On Sunday, Jan. 18, the duo hosted 15-minute sessions in a decorated red pickup truck for $30 per session, and several kids, couples and even a cat showed up to purchase sweet memories captured on film.
